Google Takes Down Glupteba Botnet Infrastructure
Google disrupted the Glupteba botnet that targeted Windows computers to steal user credentials and cookies, and also mine cryptocurrencies. The tech giant has filed a temporary restraining order, along with a complaint against two Russian individuals and 15 other unknown individuals. Researchers believe that Glupteba operators may try again to regain control of the botnet using a backup C2 mechanism.
